Urchinite small format slabs bring natural color and texture to surfaces across living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom spaces. Urchinite slabs are handcrafted in California, and made with biocalcites, a natural mineral derived from purple sea urchin shells that are harvested seasonally from kelp restoration sites. Each piece is crafted from seasonal harvest, so availability is limited and no two pieces are exactly alike. Color and pattern variation is inherent to the material and unique to each piece. Each item is made to order, so please allow 12-18 weeks for production with first runs beginning in Summer 2026.
